Crafted by Beisnerds: This is a hobby maple syrup operation in Ohio. We collect maple sap in buckets and bags, boil over wood fire, filter in cloth filter and bottle. No tubing, reverse osmosis, pressure filter, or fuel oil heat. My wife and 2 teenage sons tapped 650 maple trees this year and collected about 7000 gallons of sap. It takes us around 45-50 gal of sap to make 1 gallon of pure syrup.
